STOTT PILATES® mat exercises will leave you looking toned, feeling revitalised, and moving with ease.
Classes are limited in size to approximately ten participants to allow individual attention by the teacher. The exercises deliver optimal strength, flexibility and endurance.
Level 1 - 2 concentrates on the breathing and fundamentals of the technique to ensure that each class member has acquired the necessary skills to develop the essential exercises further. Class members are encouraged to become aware of their bodies and to focus on the quality of movement, and to take this awareness into their daily lives.
Level 2 - 3 builds on the basic principles increasing core strength, shoulder stability and muscle endurance. We progress through the essential exercises increasing the intensity and endurance.
Level 4 is a more dynamic workout, and will progress through the Intermediate Exercises. The class members are capable of working in a fluid and dynamic manner, as the exercises increase in difficulty, both physically and mentally.
Before joining a class it is necessary to have a private session to assess posture and possible injuries, and to ensure that each client has a knowledge of the basic STOTT PILATES® Five Basic Principles.
Matwork classes are held at 2 venues in Finchley, North London, on MONDAY, WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY during the day and evening.
