FITNESS QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifying as an Exercise Teacher in 1984 and updating with the YMCA/ RSA Awards 1987 – 1990 I have taught a wide variety of exercise classes including Ante and Post Natal, Fifty Plus, Step, Fitness Walking, Circuit Training and Body Conditioning. 

I am a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor having completed the full 600 hours of comprehensive training with STOTT PILATES in Toronto, Montreal and the UK, and continually update my Pilates education.

I am a member of the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) and the Pilates Teachers Association, as well as a Professional member of BACKCARE.

I specialise in Personal Training with a keen interest in preventing and managing back pain through lifestyle changes. I hold the Active IQ Level 4 Certificate in Exercise for the Management of Low Back Pain.

I have also been a former editor of the NRPT newsletter, Development Officer for the Exercise Association (EXA), a contributor to the national press, and have appeared on BBC Radio 2, Radio 5 Live, and LBC as an expert on health related topics.
