WHY PILATES

The method of exercise offers a no-stress approach to better posture and longer, leaner muscles. It’s the perfect complement to aerobic exercise or can be used to help you get back on your feet after an injury.

AM I TOO OLD TO START PILATES

There is no age limit (my eldest client is 86 ​years young) and the versatility of the system lends itself well to the older population.

BENEFITS OF PILATES

An Australian University study has found that the complications of poor posture include back pain, spinal dysfunction, joint degeneration, rounded shoulders and a pot belly. 
The gentle stretching and deep breathing of Pilates can help in the return of fitness.

The exercises can also benefit sportsmen (golfers, skiers, swimmers, footballers, runners etc.) and there are numerous examples of improvement in these sports due to maintaining flexibility, strength and coordination.
